Vocality Radio Relay Receives Inmarsat CAP Accreditation

Vocality Radio Relay Receives Inmarsat CAP Accreditation

BASICS Radio Relay allows customers to maximise existing radio investment by integrating a wide range of older and newer radio technologies from multiple manufacturers into a single radio network.

This low size, weight and power unit also allows users connect their push-to-talk (PTT) radios to conventional telephone systems, delivering 2-way communication with landline and cellular telephone users. Full compatibility with dispatch solutions, such as Motorola Solutions WAVE and IntraCom VCOM, ensures seamless integration of radio networks into a common and consistent user interface.

Vocality’s inbuilt voice optimization technology ensures that even during busy network periods, when higher levels of network latency can occur, customers can communicate clearly and cost effectively with multiple radio users, landlines and cellular phone users.
Bringing together Vocality Radio Relay with the Inmarsat satellite network allows customers to extend their radio communications, way beyond the normal operating limits of a radio network.

A global leader in satellite communications for over 35 years, Inmarsat offers an unrivalled portfolio of global mobile satcom services, providing voice and data solutions across the globe.

‘We’ve always had a great working relationship with Inmarsat. Achieving CAP status demonstrates the strength of our partnership, but most importantly provides customers with assurance when choosing Vocality and Inmarsat.’ – Susan Harvey, CEO Vocality.

Both companies work tirelessly to develop solutions that support voice and data communications from the most remote locations on the planet. So important is this relationship that Vocality have been working alongside Inmarsat to obtain Inmarsat Certified Application Partner (CAP) accreditation for their BASICS Radio Relay product.

‘Push-to-talk radios are an important tool for government customers and the ability to maximise the value of existing investments in such technology is a great benefit for our market. We are very happy that Vocality has achieved CAP accreditation and will continue to be an important technology partner for the Global Government team in the years to come.’ – Andy Start, Inmarsat, President – Global Government
