Vocality releases Enhanced BASICS Radio Relay Solution
14th April 2015, Surrey, UK; Vocality has released an enhanced Radio Relay/ROIP solution, connecting most widely used push-to-talk radio platforms into modern IP networks.
Vocality has Radio Relay/ROIP devices to connect from 1 to 64 radio networks together, and into IP media servers and call managers, including those from Motorola, Asterisk, and CISCO. These devices allow push-to-talk radios to be connected with SIP-based media servers and IP PBX applications. This allows for smartphones, VoIP phones, desktop apps and traditional telephones to be easily connected with field deployed radio handsets.
Today, building on Vocality’s 20 years of experience in field communications, their flagship Radio Relay/ROIP range of devices has received a major software overhaul. Vocality’s enhanced software delivers the simplest, quickest to configure interface – ideal for a user with even the minimum experience. For those clients who also have the challenge of communicating over low bandwidth links, such as satellite or UHF radio, the Vocality Radio Relay/ROIP software also dramatically improves performance. Today’s announcement is one part of a planned programme of software releases to further enhance Vocality solutions, including an exciting improvement to the low bandwith links performance.
Vocality Radio Relay/ROIP devices have been successfully deployed in large numbers to a wide range of demanding clients worldwide, and the capability has also been integrated into hundreds of platforms in use with international defence organisations through the integration of Vocality’s PC-104 PCB version. The enhanced software is available to this large installed base as well as to all new Vocality Radio Relay/ROIP devices purchased from today.
