What is BASICS Multivoice?
- It’s a little black box.
- It connects to any FleetBroadband terminal.
- Connect 4 or 8 regular, cheap telephones.
- You can then make lots of phone calls at once, which is good news whether you are the captain or the crew.
How do I set it up?
BASICS Multivoice, as it's name suggests, is really simple to install. You do not need any specialist knowledge or skills.
- Make sure your FleetBroadband terminal is equipped with a Multivoice SIM.
- Connect regular plain telephone handsets to each voice port on the box.
- Connect the network port on the box to the network port on the FleetBroadband terminal.
- Connect the voice port on the FleetBroadband terminal to either the digital or analogue voice port on the box.
- Connect a laptop to the box, and follow the short instructions on configuring the phone numbers and IP address.
- You are done. Make your phone calls!
Do I need any other equipment?
No. The important part of this system is that Inmarsat have built all the rest of the infrastructure so you don't have to worry. Just set up your terminal and use it.
What Now?
The menu at the top has access to further information. However, you may just want to buy a unit and set it up. So we recommend to you two places to purchase equipment.
For direct support and supply, you can speak to most Inmarsat maritime resellers and distribution partners. Alternatively, you can purchase the units direct from Vocality.
