Course Overview

This two-day course provides students with an introduction to Vocality products and their capabilities and feature sets. The course includes an overview of Voice, serial and IP features and configuration.

Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in configuring and monitoring the Vocality Operating System (VOS) and monitoring device operations.

Objectives

After successfully completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Describe the different Vocality hardware products anstandard-book-smalld their capabilities.
  • Describe and implement Analogue Voice connectivity.
  • Describe and implement Digital PRI Voice connectivity.
  • Describe and implement simple IP routing functionality.
  • Explain the benefits of serial versus IP WAN connectivity.

Intended Audience

This course benefits individuals responsible for configuring and monitoring devices running the Vocality OS.

This is a beginner level course.

Prerequisites

Students should have basic networking knowledge and an understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) reference model and the TCP/IP protocol suite.
