Power Supply Cards and Modules
V25 and V50plus offer simple AC to DC external converters, providing the DC power required to operate these simple, small devices. Moving on to the V150 and the V200, users are presented with the option to equip their units with redundant power supplies.
The V150 offers integrated redundant power supplies. Units equipped with this option (which is fitted at factory), have a "pigtail" power cord presented alongside the integrated IEC inlet (left in the photo). The pigtail connects to the second IEC cable. The V150 can be shipped with 2 integrated power supplies. Should one fail, the second automatically kicks in. The advantage of this is clear - particularly in field deployed systems where the power supply quality may be variable. The V150 basic chassis needs returning to Vocality (or an authorised partner) for the faulty power supply to be replaced.
The V200 takes this to the next level, with the PSU Card - shown at the top of this page - presenting hot-swappable interfaces for AC power. The V200 supports up to 2 such PSU cards, allowing users the ability to hot-swap units and keep the equipment in operation.
From the extremely low power V25 through to the highly flexible, powerful V200 - users have every option available to them through the family of products.
