V150
Replacing the V100 was never going to be an easy job, but the V150 steps up to the challenge admirably. The V150 offers full multiplexing and routing capabilities with a flexible range of cards and features. Combined with redundant power and redundancy across option cards, the V150 is the ideal solution for anyone deploying mission critical services. Delivering three full option slots, the V150 is already one step ahead of the V100. These three option slots can support any of the option cards available for the V50plus, V150 and V200. This allows user to deliver up to 24 analogue voice ports, or by way of the Digital Voice Cards, up to 60 voice ports.
Alternatively, the V150 could present up to 25 serial ports or 24 Ethernet ports.
Combined with redundant power, and bandwidth efficient operation, the V150 is surely the one product the satellite integrators and operators should not be without.
Standard Configuration
The V150 is delivered as an empty chassis. The only choice you need to make when selecting a chassis is redundant or non-redundant power configurations. The chassis then needs to be loaded with a CPU card of your choice. Most deployments will use the Standard CPU Card - a card offering a single Ethernet port, a single serial data port and an empty option bay into which, users can install any option module from the range. These are the same modules used in the V50plus.
Like all Vocality mux/router devices, the V150 offers Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation and active TCP/IP bandwidth pool management to ensure users enjoy the fastest throughput in the bandwidth available.
Optional Features
Vocality always offers users the option to activate PEP (TCP Acceleration) functionality, to provide acceleration of their TCP traffic over satellite. The units can also be upgraded with the addition of VoIP (Bandwidth Optimised SIP) by turning on the VoIP capability. Basic SNMP support is also available. These facilities are feature key enabled.Compatibility
The V150 forms part of a seamless range of products - from the 2 port V25 handheld unit all the way to the high speed, 3U V200. Users select the device of their choice based on the numbers of ports required, the data rates required and the physical limitations of the installation space. All four products are configured using the same menu system and using the same configuration techniques - easy to use, and simple to maintain and support. The V150 is ideal for use in fixed VSAT networks, not only as a hub device, but also in 19" rack mount installations which could be vehicular or flightcase based. All Vocality products are continually tested with the latest satellite modems and where possible, active satellite networks, to ensure maximum compatibility.
