Digital Voice Card
The Digital Voice Module uses the Standard CPU Card as its mounting board. This arrangement allows users to install Digital Voice Modules onto the Standard CPU Card - one Digital Voice Module at the back and one at the front. The combination of these modules on the CPU card creates the Digital Voice Card.Vocality’s Digital Voice Cards all support MLPP - essential for many tactical applications.
This arrangement allows a single card to deliver two full E1/T1 interfaces, offering support for a maximum of 60 ports per complete card.
The Digital Voice Card allows Primary rate ISDN circuits to be terminated by the Vocality device via an E1 interface, and protocol stacks switch and route calls throughout the V200 network. The card can optionally compress up to 30 voice calls over the satellite link for each Digital Voice Card installed on the main carrier card.
The Digital Voice Card supports ETSI Q.931 QSIG signalling, and can interconnect with Vocality units delivering voice in other forms such as analogue voice and SIP-based VoIP.
