8 Voice Ports

Analogue Voice Modules and Cards (FXO)

For hub systems connecting to a traditional PABX with analogue telephone connections, the the Analogue Voice Modules or Cards are essential. The module can be installed into the V50plus chassis - or connected to a Standard CPU Card to create an Analogue Voice Card and installed within a V150 or V200 chassis.

The Analogue Voice Card (FXO) offers 8 ports for the connection to a telephone switch. The sockets are delivered as RJ45 - also supporting RJ11.

The card contains the hardware for 8 full telephone ports, but a reduced cost 4 port configuration is shipped as standard, with channels 5, 6, 7 and 8 software enabled through the use of a feature key. This allows users to upgrade the number of voice ports they need at a time after initial installation, when needed. Users will just need a text-based feature key to be issued from Vocality.

Voice-Module

Ports 1 to 4 offer full telephone interfaces, supporting both 2 wire and 4 wire communications: 2 wire for ringing telephones, and 4 wire for E&M switches and open communications circuits - popular in broadcasting applications.

Echo cancellation, SCIP (formerly FNBDT), fax and modem support are delivered on all ports as standard.

Each voice port can be soft configured with a number of compression algorithms. All of them are compatible with the Digital Voice Card, and G.729A is compatible with VoIP (Satellite Optimised SIP).
  • G.723.1 delivers voice at 5.3Kbps and 6.3Kbps
  • G.729A delivers voice at 8Kbps
  • NetCoder delivers voice at 6.4Kbps to 9.6Kbps
  • ADPCM and PCM are also available

Secure Voice Relay Capability

A physical add-in module can be purchased and installed onto the voice card to provide STU III secure voice capability for US DoD applications. This module is compatible with the current range of secure voice cards only.
