Vocality’s 1U rack mount chassis offers users access the full range of Vocality option cards in the smallest form factor.

The V150 presents users with 3 option bays, into which any number of card configurations can be constructed. The unit is link compatible with all other Vocality devices making it ideal for both hub and remote site installations.

The chassis offers power, card and configuration redundancy - perfect for mission critical applications such as commercial and military satcom.

Standard Configuration

The V150 is delivered as an empty chassis. Slot one in the chassis then needs to be loaded with a card for the following list:
  • Standard CPU Card (bridge/router + serial data)
  • High Speed CPU Card (gigabit bridge/router + high speed serial data)
  • FXS Voice Card (4 or 8 voice/fax, bridge/router + serial data)
  • FXO Voice Card (4 or 8 voice/fax, bridge/router + serial data)
  • ISDN Card (1 or 4 Basic Rate Interfaces, bridge/router + serial data)
  • IP Switch Card (8 IP port bridge/router + serial data)
Up to three of these cards can be installed into the chassis in any combination, as well as the choice the following cards.
  • Digital Voice Card (Fractional, Single or Dual E1/T1 Compressed Voice)
  • High Speed Serial Data (4 or 12 Ports)
Nearly all of the option cards in the V150 offer integrated bridge/router functionality, that incorporates the following functionality.
  • IPv4 Routing (Future IPv6 Planned)
  • RIPv2
  • DHCP Service / Client
  • QoS/Bandwidth Pool Management
  • Static Routes
  • IP Aggregates
  • UDP Relay
  • OSPF

Compatibility

The V150 forms part of a seamless range of products - from the 2 port V25 handheld unit all the way to the high speed, 3U V200. Users select the device of their choice based on the numbers of ports required, the data rates required and the physical limitations of the installation space. All four products are configured using the same menu system and using the same configuration techniques - easy to use, and simple to maintain and support.

The V150 is ideal for use in fixed VSAT networks, not only as a hub device, but also in 19" rack mount installations which could be vehicular or flightcase based. All Vocality products are continually tested with the latest satellite modems and where possible, active satellite networks, to ensure maximum compatibility.
